• Google Sitemaps Generator – Generates a Google Sitemap
• Ultimate Tag Warrior – This plugin adds tagging functionality to WordPress. You can produce a tag cloud, add Technorati tags and show related posts. I find more things to do with it each week, so make sure to check out the full Readme files.
• Add to Del.icio.us – This simple but effective plugin gives your users an easy way of adding the post to their del.icio.us archive.
• WordPress Database Backup – On-demand backup of your WordPress database.
• Subscribe To Comments – Allows readers to recieve notifications of new comments that are posted to an entry
• Related Posts – Returns a list of the related entries based on keyword matches.
• Akismet – What is there to say? This is the best spam catcher I’ve ever run into.
• PodPress – Allows you to easily set up your blog/feed for integration with iTunes. Puts flash player right in the post. Really nice.
• wp-shortstat – Effortless installation, for a quick and easy overview of essential statistics to measure traffic. Screenshots and upgrades for WP 2.0.1 can be found here.
• Gravatar – This plugin allows you to generate a gravatar URL complete with rating, size, default, and border options.
• Search Hilite – The Search Hilite Plugin highlites Search-Words, from external Searches over Yahoo,Google and Lycos, as well as Wordpres internal Searches, on the Search Results-Pages.
• Image Manager – The ImageManager provides an interface for browsing and uploading image files on/to your server. The Editor allows for some basic image manipulations such as, cropping, rotation, flip, and scaling.
• Firestats – Statistics plugin that let’s your view top referrer, user agents, visitors countries and visitor trails on your blog. Easy to install and real alternative to wp-shortstat
• WP Tiiger Administration – If you’re not happpy with the standard look of the WordPress admin panel this plugin changes it to look a bit like Mac OSX Tiger.
• Extended Live Archives – Implements a dynamic, AJAXified way of digging into the archives of a blog.
• Feedburner Feed Replacement – Forwards all feed traffic to Feedburner while creating a randomized feed for Feedburner to pull from.
• Random Quotes – Manage random quotes within the administration panel, provides a lot of personalization in implementation by providing neat CSS classes.
• wpStats – Much like wp-shortstat except, cleaner works with wordpress 2 and has more features.
• WP lightbox JS – Lightbox JS is a simple, unobtrusive script used to to overlay images on the current page written by Lokesh Dhakar. Add rel=”lightbox” attribute to any link tag to activate the lightbox. This plugin integrate its feature into your WordPress blog.
• Audio player – Lets you insert audio mp3 files into your posts. Comes with it’s own flash music player
• Structured Blogging – Structured Blogging is a way to get more information on the web in a way that’s more usable. You can enter information in this form and it’ll get published on your blog like a normal entry, but it will also be published in a machine-readable format so that other services can read and understand it.
• Permalink Redirect – Redirects less than ideal URLs to their corrected versions. This includes adding slashes on post slugs, or redirecting to a permalink URL when a query string (?post_id=) URL is given.
• Wordspew Ajax LiveChat eXtended – adds a Live Chat Box to your WordPress Site
• Less – Less is more. Less is a WordPress plugin that makes reading posts more intuitive for your many readers. With Less, when readers click a (more…) link they see the full article on the screen, not just the part after the (more…).
• Jerome’s Keywords – “Jerome’s Keywords” is a plugin for to associate keywords with your posts. Can create a tag cloud and use search-engine friendly tag links.
• LiveJournal Crossposter – Automatically copies all posts to a LiveJournal or other LiveJournal-based blog. Editing or deleting a post will be replicated as well.
• RusToLat – This plugin convert cyrillic characters in post title to latin characters. Very usefull for russian-speaking users of WordPress. You can use this plugin for creating human-readable links.
• Related Entries – Returns a list of the related entries based on keyword matches.
• Filemanager Tinymce Editor – WordPress 2.0 Plugin – - Files upload, delete, rename, move (also multiple file actions but upload) – Directory create, delete – insert Download Link into Post with Filetype Image and/or Filesize and/or Date – can acces htacces protected folders .. at least with my server-config – sort FileList by Name / Size / Date
• FetchRSS – Embeds an RSS reader into a page.
• F Gallery – Displays a gallery of your flickr photos.
• Croissanga – Croissanga is a WordPress plugin that re-posts your published-status posts to your Xanga site. It also edits and deletes Xanga posts you initially created through WordPress.
• Evermore – Evermore is a WordPress plugin that automatically displays a short preview of your posts. The preview appears on the home page, and also the archive and category pages. For each post, the first paragraph is shown along with a link to read the full post.
• OpenID Comments for WordPress – This plugin will allow users to leave comments using their OpenID identities.
• WP-Lists – Because quite a few of the my posts contain lists which may be added to later, I find it easy to manage them using this plugin, which adds a screen in the Manage section. There is a QuickTag button to add a list to the post.
• Weighted Categories – Template tag to display a weighted list of category links
• WordPress Reports – Generates reports from Google Analytics and Feedburner data.
• Author Highlight – Author Highlight is a plugin that prints out a user-specified class attribute if the comment is made by the specified author. It is useful if you would like to apply a different style to comments made by yourself.
• Popularity Contest – This plugin takes into account the views, comments and trackbacks each post gets and sorts them into order of popularity, and the percentage is in comparison to the most popular post. You can adjust the weighting each element has as well.
• PopStats 2.0 – Show stats onlive using Ajax. Highly adictive and very light for your database(installing instructions only in spanish but it’s installed like every plugging so it doesn’t matter.)
• del.icio.us cached – Outputs a list of your del.icio.us bookmarks

Thumbnailer is a plugin for WordPress that allows you to generate thumbnails of images “on the fly” i.e. the script will create a thumbnail of the original image as it is viewed.

WP2HTML lets you export your blog entries as a single HTML file. Adds HTML file to ZIP archive. Also check out Gravatar (and userpics) on the same page. It allows you to generate a gravatar URL complete with rating, size, default, and border options. See the documentation for syntax and usage. It also shows LiveJournal userpics in comments.

cforms offers convenient deployment of multiple contact forms throughout your blog or even on the same page. The form submission utilizes AJAX, however, falls back to the standard method if AJAX/Javascript is not supported.

Random Link Button plugin give you the ability to place a button on your blog that directs the user to a random site every time it is pressed. The random link is chosen out of your WordPress blogroll, so you can make use of your existing links.

Blockquote Cite allows you to add easily cite references when using the blockquote tag. To add a reference, simply use the cite element and then enter the URL of site the content was quoted from. If a logo is available for that site, it will be displayed. Otherwise a text link will be used.

Force User Field Registration forces new users to register additional fields (such as first name and last name).

Check Email Posts uses the inbuilt cron to check for posts-by-email every hour.

WordPress Comment Spam Stopper stops comment spam by adding an additional question field that a visitor must answer before the comment is submitted.

StripTease is a simple filter that strips fragment identifiers from WordPress’s default teaser links so that they link to full posts. It doesn’t require any configuration, and it works with WordPress’s default querystring permalinks, as well as its rewrite-based “pretty permalinks.”

Mint Popular Posts is a WordPress plugin that for use in conjunction with the Mint.

URI Index Remover removes “index.php” from any URI ending in “index.php”. It does an instant redirect to the non-index.php equivalent of that page.
